Chess Coach

Job role Overview

As a chess coach at Upstep Academy, you’ll have the opportunity to train and inspire students of various skill levels, helping them develop their abilities and passion for the game. Through dynamic and interactive lessons, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of chess enthusiasts, all while enjoying the support of a proven training ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality online chess training, conducting both interactive group and private lessons to help students learn and improve their skills.
  • Inspire and motivate students to play chess and develop their abilities
  • Establish goals and training plans for chess preparation and competitions, monitoring progress to ensure students stay on track.
  • Ensure regular reporting and conduct necessary research to offer appropriate and continuous guidance
  • Leverage Upstep Academy’s proven ecosystem to enrich the student experience and support their development.

Qualification

  • Seeking enthusiastic, dynamic individuals who are passionate about working primarily with children and eager to learn and grow.
  • Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.
  • Must have access to a reliable laptop and a stable, high-speed internet connection.
  • Preferred 1 to 5 years of chess coaching experience, but highly motivated freshers are also welcome to apply.

Customer Relationship Executive

The Customer Relationship Executive will be the primary point of contact for parents, ensuring a positive experience throughout their journey with the academy. The role involves managing customer communications, addressing queries, and maintaining strong relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. This position requires coordinating with different teams, ensuring smooth operations, and proactively resolving any concerns to maintain a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address parent queries, manage class schedules, and communicate feedback.
  • Build rapport with parents through regular calls and gather feedback.
  • Handle course renewals, upselling, and retention.
  • Be available during sessions/tournaments for queries, and manage drop-out tracking.
  • Collect reviews and referrals from existing customers.

Qualification

  • Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and customer management practices.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving customer issues.

  • First Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for parents inquiring about chess courses for their children. Listen actively to understand the child’s needs and skill level, providing tailored recommendations for the most suitable chess programs.
  • Demo Class Booking: Engage with parents to book demo classes, ensuring the chosen program aligns with the child’s requirements, and effectively guiding them through the process.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Strive to meet or exceed monthly sales goals by converting leads into enrollments through strong communication, relationship-building, and timely follow-ups.
  • Tech-Savvy Operations: Maintain fluency in using CRM systems and video conferencing tools, ensuring all lead information, interactions, and progress are updated accurately and promptly.

Qualification
